AITAF brings excessive-high quality arts programming to lively obligation service members, veterans, military support staff and their families world wide free of charge. All of us here at Arts for the Aging — our board, workers, teaching artists, volunteers and lots of others — we miss her so. Each year AFTA bestows the Lolo Sarnoff Founder’s Award on an individual to commemorate the founder’s pioneering imaginative and prescient and that of others who carry her spirit.

While Lewis does get some fair pictures in about vapid works of spectacle, regardless of how you feel about up to date artwork, to call a whole swath of tradition irrelevant based totally on those that have been privileged sufficient to occupy galleries and other institutions (and thus the canon of artwork history) ignores both the artists who have been traditionally marginalized from such areas and the artists who are taking their practices outside of them.
